They Say I'm a Monkey is a collection of short-stories from the young Indonesian writer Djenar Maesa Ayu.
In the eleven stories, Djenar turns footnotes of urban Jakarta life, and the inner lives of the city's inhabitants, into stories that keep in their narratives both the magic and the realism of the place. Stories that will crawl out from the margins into the centre of your conscience.
When They Say I'm a Monkey first appeared in Bahasa Indonesia in 2002, it shocked readers with its liberal use of sex, both as a central theme in many of the stories and as the template for Djenar imageries.
They Say I'm a Monkey is Djenar's first book translated into English and Metafor's first edition in our new Modern Indonesian Writers Series.

Djenar Maesa Ayu debuted on the literary scene with a bang in 2002 with her short story anthology, Mereka Bilang, Saya Monyet!, featuring 11 narratives of life in Jakarta spun around themes and imagery derived from sex and sexuality.
The anthology, which was shortlisted for the Khatulistiwa Literary Award 2003, has been reprinted eight times to date, and is now aailable in an English-language version from Metafor Publishing.
Translated by Michael Nieto Garcia of Cornell University, New York, They Say I'm a Monkey was unveiled on Oct. 10 during the recently concluded Ubud literary festival in a double-launch with Nayla (Gramedia Pustaka Utama, May 2005), Djenar's first novel.

JUNK FOOD
People like to consume the delicious junk cause food beside possible simple junk food to enjoy. Junk food is modern food type among elite society. There is a lot of advantage and disadvantage of junk food. Among other things shall be as follows.
Advantage :
1. Junk food is easy to eaten on the way.
2. Junk food is easy to searched and cheaper of its price.
3. Junk food served swiftly
Disadvantage :
1. Junk food can slow down the child growth.
2. Bad junk food for the health of human being.
3. Junk food can pursue the human being brain.
Conclusion :
We better don't often consume the junk food of because dangerous for our body health.

I shack up with parent, my parent have the regulation at home to be we become discipline. I have one brother and one sister, brother old age 23 year and sister old age 6 year. We very loving of our parent, my parent have never differentiated their children. If medium there is a problem usually we converse in a space. My parent represent one who wisdom, they very entrusting of children to take a decision but have to be consistent to what decided.
My father a eager beaver, he have never complained a little even also. My mother is a darling loving housewife, she always assist its children if us is difficulty. Because our activity plenty of hence we always exploit the time off with family
If our red letter day usually go to picnic or visit the house our relative, at home me is eldest daughter. Our morning always assist the mother primp house. At home I accustomed to conduct something alone limited to my ability. Before going to my campus accustomed to salute at family and parent.
When night usually we look on the TV together, only when our night gather. We usually sleep do not too night of because us have to conduct the morning activity till evening or night.
